Briton Maciuk

Founder | Producer

Briton originally started working with video when he bought his first video camcorder at a yard sale at the age of 14, from then he would make many home videos that would spark his interest in film making. In High school Briton would opt to make videos for his school projects and essays rather then making and reading hard copy’s of his work in front of the class. His first real taste of production was not in school drama infarct he had never taken the theater course. But was after school when the auditorium was rented out to various concerts and live events. He learnt lighting and sound from the production manager that took care of the auditorium during after school events. Combining these three elements Lighting sound and video gave him a strong foundation to work outside of school and go on to work for production company’s. After he graduated High school in 2011 he started working his first job at a production company that produced large public and privet events, his first show was on Thanks giving day at Detroit’s Ford Field, Helping setup pyrotechnics for the Nickelback half time show. From then on he would learn much more about the production world that would give him the tools to open his own company Luma Detroit.
